Engine block data is a powerful asset for engineers, car builders, motorsport teams, custom fabricators, and manufacturers. The highly accurate data can be used for basic tasks such as sizing, test-fitting, verifying spacing as well as for more detailed projects such as engineering new performance parts and digital engine building for systematic engineering. This Subaru FA20 engine block was scanned on an engine stand with our industrial-grade 3D laser scanner with certified accuracy to 25 micron (or better), ISO 17025 Accredited. Our quality of work and level of detail is exemplified in the rendered images below. The scan was performed at an ultra high resolution, allowing us to capture fine details such as the marks from the casting as well as bolt threads.
