Laser Scanning 2012 BMW M3 E92

The BMW M3 has been an iconic German sports car among enthusiasts for decades. Thanks to its popularity, the platform is frequently used for aftermarket parts development, ranging from performance upgrades to cosmetic accessories. Having critically accurate scan data provides a strong foundation to design and manufacture high quality components, meeting or surpassing OEM specifications. We performed a full exterior laser scan of the 2012 E92 generation M3. The data is suitable for exterior development (bodykits, aerodynamic improvements, motorsport upgrades), as well as serve as a base for Computational Fluid Dynamics studies.
