3D Laser Scanning 2018 Subaru WRX STI

The Subaru WRX STI is a well-known vehicle among enthusiasts who seek a Japanese all-wheel-drive (AWD) platform. It is also a popular choice for motorsport racing and aftermarket modifications. To ensure the highest quality in product design and engineering, we conducted a comprehensive exterior laser scan of the vehicle. This scan captured not only the outer shell but also the entire underside of the WRX, including all mechanical components like the exhaust and floor pan. This data is essential for underbody development, performance enhancement, and aerodynamic engineering. The exterior data can be utilized for styling and aerodynamic upgrades. By using our metrology-grade blue laser scanner, we accurately captured all surfaces, including reflective and dark-colored ones, with high detail and clarity.
